Does BeforeYouSign replace a lawyer?: No. BeforeYouSign is an educational tool that helps you understand the contract and ask more informed questions. For important or complex contracts we always recommend consulting a lawyer.
Do you store my documents?: By default we do not store your documents permanently. The file is processed for analysis and not kept for long. Always check the service's privacy policy.
What file formats are supported?: We support PDF, DOC, and DOCX up to 10 MB. The document must contain selectable text (not a scanned PDF without text).
Is the analysis confidential?: We process your file only for the purpose of analysis and do not store it permanently. We recommend not uploading highly sensitive documents without reviewing our privacy policy.
How long does the analysis take?: Typically from a few tens of seconds to about a minute, depending on document length. You will see a progress indicator while processing.
